Hail hit? Here's exactly what happens next.
Insurance claims feel overwhelming because nobody explains them. We do. Here is the whole process, in plain English, the same way we'll walk you through it in person.
-
01
Free inspection & claim support
Suspect damage? We inspect your whole property at no cost, photograph everything, and tell you honestly whether a claim is worth filing. If it is, we help you contact your insurer and get it started.
-
02
The adjuster writes a scope
Your insurer sends an adjuster who estimates repairs in XACTIMATE, the industry-standard program. Their first number is rarely the full picture, so we write a supplement covering the real scope of work, including everything required to meet current building code.
-
03
Two checks, fully explained
Insurance pays in two parts: an Actual Cash Value check up front (minus your deductible), and a depreciation check released after the work is invoiced. This two-check system exists to keep contractors honest, and we'll show you exactly where every dollar goes.

04
We build, then we certify
Work starts when materials land. When we're done, we send your insurer a certificate of completion so your depreciation check releases without a fight, and your home is fully restored, fully documented.
Questions we hear every week
My roof leaks. Does it need a full replacement?
Not necessarily. Often a section has loosened or damage is isolated to one area. We inspect the whole roof for free, show you photos of what we find, and only recommend replacement when repair genuinely won't protect your home.
Will my homeowner's insurance cover the work?
If the damage came from hail, wind, or another covered event, usually yes. We inspect first, tell you honestly whether a claim makes sense, and then guide you through the entire process, including the supplement that makes sure your insurer pays for the full scope of repairs.
How long will a new roof last?
The Malarkey Class 3 and 4 shingles we install carry a 50-year manufacturer warranty, and our free 5-year maintenance visits keep small issues from ever becoming big ones. With Texas weather, that combination matters more than any brochure number.
Why do you install Class 4 hail-resistant shingles?
Central Texas gets hammered by hail. Class 4 is the highest impact rating a shingle can earn, and many insurers reward it with premium discounts of 10 to 27 percent, so the roof partially pays for itself while it protects you.
What is the 100/5/50 warranty?
Our warranty package on every roof we install: a 100 percent lifetime craftsmanship guarantee on our workmanship, a complimentary roof refresh every 5 years, and the 50-year manufacturer warranty on the shingles themselves.
When is the best time for roof work?
Before the next storm season, which in Texas means as soon as you spot a problem. We work year-round and offer 24/7 emergency response for active leaks and storm damage.
